A633 carbon steel coil is a normalized high-strength low-alloy structural steel coil used for welded, riveted or bolted structures. This material is suitable for use at lower ambient temperatures where the required notch toughness is better than that expected for rolled materials of comparable strength. The material has good austenite grain size and should be normalized by heat treatment. Its chemical composition should be determined by thermal analysis. Tensile testing should also be performed.
